🤏Pinch 👊 Punch, it’s the start of Q4 at CMR
Happy October 1st everyone. We’re now officially into Q4 and the final stretch of 2025 (where’s the year gone?!).
If Q3 is anything to go by, there’s still a huge uplift in new roles within our sector. Confidence has returned, and we are seeing activity across clients of all sizes and ages.
Compliance, payroll and marketing roles remain our busiest departments, with demand trending upwards week on week. The first two make a lot of sense, it’s the nature of the beast. But the HUGE uplift in marketing vacancies across clients is fascinating.
Let’s be honest, marketing was a “nice to have” a few years ago. Now, it’s a necessity. And if you’re not yet thinking about bringing an in-house marketer in, maybe you should?And I’m more than happy to offer my advice on this (shameless plug, but it is my newsletter).
Anyhow, here’s MWM, issue 11.

A growth-focused leader to take full P&L responsibility and scale an accountancy practice. Needs experience in fast-growing firms, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to build strategy, structure and team culture. Personable, energetic and ready to embrace the challenge.
Customer Service Manager – Payroll & Accountancy £43,000 package
Lead a busy customer service function in a contractor payroll setting. You’ll manage a team, ensure compliance and drive service standards. Looking for someone process-driven, people-focused and experienced in high-volume customer environments.
