Lesson in Leadership: Meet Our New NED
I’m genuinely buzzing to announce Ian Simkins has joined CMR as an Investor and Non-Executive Director.
If you know the recruitment space, you’ll know Ian’s name. He’s built, grown, and backed seriously impressive businesses, so having him in our corner is a massive win.
We’ve been quietly chatting for a while. And what I love is that Ian gets what we’re trying to do here. He’s not just here to watch from the sidelines. He’s here to help us push forward, challenge how we think, and make sure we scale in the right way.
In short, this is a proper lesson in surrounding yourself with smart people.
As we keep building CMR into the go-to partner for talent in payroll and accountancy. A big moment in our journey.

This time of year always marks a shift. Holidays end. Projects resume. Teams reset.
But this year, something feels different. There’s a renewed focus on quality. Clients are being more deliberate. Candidates are being more selective.
It’s not just about filling roles. It’s about building better businesses. And that’s exactly where CMR wants to help.
